no surprises anymore, here's how the book looks

You'll see in my video that this book is tiny and has some features that are very different from normal Dr. Seuss books, but all in all, I still love it. It's got a few complicated words (even for some adults I'm sure), but it's fun to read over and over. Before you purchase it, you may want to see my short video so you know what you're getting. it was a nice attempt but didn't cut it in my opinion

I'm going to be honest, it was a nice attempt but didn't cut it in my opinion. The book is still the miniature version and it is a lot like "Oh, the places you will go," but borrows from as many Dr. Seuss books as a person can think of with very little original though put into it. I can't be too harsh and give it less, but if you want to find something to read for the little one whose on their way that moves you, then it lacks a bit. I could have just read my daughter "Oh, The Places You Will Go." It's practically the same book, but less leaning on other Seuss titles. I'm aware that it isn't actually written by the man, but I was no less disappointed. I read it once and didn't bother to again.

I bought this book for my sister before the birth of her first little one, and as a huge Dr. Seuss fan I was just a bit disappointed. I knew it wasn't actually a Dr. Seuss original, but had still hoped it would fall in line with his work. Honestly, the story's a little rough. It's basically a mashup of any Dr. Seuss book you can remember. Still a cute gift I suppose, and the quality of the book itself is great, just not as good as a real Dr. Seuss story.

a nice ending

the series is finally over. i've been reading it since 2003. there are just as many japanese in jokes as the previous ones that dont all translate well, but the back section tries to cover most of them.
i'm sad to see the series go but am glad they ended it now. it gets a little evangelion weird in the middle where its hard to keep track of whats going on but it concludes well enough.

since i've been reading this since the beginning, at first each character seemed a bit one sided but after 27 volumes, they're each given a chance to grow and show different sides. the humor has always been weird, punny, and irreverant but thats what made the series great.

The final volume in a eons long saga! The Saga of Excel!
Utterly mind blowing conclusion to this series. Of course if you have read even one volume you should buy this! Though be warned the entire last volume includes just about every character from the previous 26! So a LOT of jokes and important plot points can be missed if you weren't an avid reader of Excel Saga.

A fitting end to a wacky series.

If you're like me, you love the mood whiplash in Excel saga, and there's certainly no shortage of that. But beyond the tone and characterization being consistent, there's a very interesting finale that I think is the best way to cap off the story. Everything is wrapped up in a way that only the world and characters of Excel Saga can handle. It was worth the wait.

Excellent wildflower field guide for Turkey

What a magnificent book this is. It’s exactly right for a field guide, the perfect size to take with you on a visit to Turkey. At the same time, it contains a wealth of detailed information. The photographs are superb. I must also mention the high quality of the overall production of the book itself. I’ve been on a tour run by Yasemin Konuralp, and can vouch for her passion regarding the native flora of Turkey, and for her expert knowledge, based on her many years of field work and study.

My interest is especially in the native orchids, and this book has 200 orchid photographs covering 103 species. That’s a great reference for anyone visiting Turkey to find orchids. Of course, the book covers a lot more than orchids.

I recommend this book for anyone travelling to see the botanical wonders of Turkey, or to anyone wanting to know more about the flora of that part of the world. The book fulfils a longstanding need for a field guide of this kind for Turkey. I look forward to the next volume in the series.

Field Guide to the Wild Flowers of Turkey 1

The author, Yasemin Konuralp, must have walked thousands of kilometres over many years and seasons, over high mountains, steep gorges, down to the ocean to capture hundreds of plants native to Turkey. As a naturalist and archaeological guide she provided us with an unforgettable experience of searching for hundreds of species. Her accurate descriptions depend upon rare first hand, persistent experience. The photographs, especially those of the plants in their home environments, will enable everyone to share her passion. A brilliant book.

Pack the book with your camera and go to Turkey to see what can only be described as a gallery of flowers. Beautiful modern book on a venerable subject: life and death

�rik Desmazi�res is one of only four printmakers admitted to France's Acad�mie des Beaux-Arts and is widely recognized as one of the greatest living etchers. This book contains superb reproductions of a selection of his works from the last fifteen years drawing from the tradition of the vanitas, accompanied by an informative essay relating them to their historical antecedents and each other. As a collector of Desmazi�res prints, I found that the essay led me to a deeper understanding of these works.

Luscious images, sweet text

Dark but surprisingly charming images by E.D., France's premier living print artist. The book itself is only a standard commercially printed product but competently made and priced fairly for what it is.
